The Story of Seriento
In 1957, Ralph Prescod embarked on a momentous journey from Barbados to England aboard the Seriento, a vessel that carried him towards a new chapter in his life. Upon his arrival, he took up a position with the NHS, where he would ultimately meet his beloved wife, Myrlene. Throughout his life, Ralph’s pride in his Barbadian roots never wavered.
He went above and beyond to ensure that visitors to the island experienced the warmth of Bajan hospitality, complete with personal airport pick-ups, guided tours, and exquisite local cuisine.
Carrying forward this legacy of genuine care and attention, his sons David and Mark are committed to providing a concierge service that captures the essence of their father’s devotion. It is their mission to create an unforgettable and uniquely special Barbados experience for every guest who comes to the island.
